Highway Construction

Huge construction projects always make for great photography. The constant action allows for great journalistic shots and the changing detail from day to day, week to week or month to month has great artistic potential.
As a photographer the best part of the I-35 bridge construction project is a set of webcams that were installed to capture the changing project. Although it takes time to load, my favorite camera is the Birds Eye view. This camera has so far captured much of the pylon construction, the laying of the deck and the installation of the cabling. The camera is positioned on top of the existing bridge for the best possible view.
If you normally don’t find construction interesting, go backwards to near the beginning of the project and follow this camera.
