Apple posted an article that is an in-depth profile on how the owner of a chocolate factory can remotely monitor his factory using a custom iPhone app.

From the photography standpoint alone this is super interesting.  There are programs to control video cameras but few to none of them also let you act as a result of what you see.  This combination makes the video useful.

This is the goal of mobile systems.  To get an alert, look at some info and make a decision with the minimum amount of time.  When you include media such as photos into the mix it’s even better.
