Basic Lenses

I enjoy wide angle to zoom lenses. I absolutely love my 18-200. At the same time there is very little that’s fast, simple and cheap. Why are there so few fast primes that don’t cost a fortune anymore?
I have a 35 1.8 DX and a 50 1.8 FX. I already have an 18-50 2.8 that I love for general shots. There’s a number of expensive, fast, wide primes on the market or coming to the market.
Where are the cheap and simple telephoto autofocus non-zoom lenses in a variety of speeds and price points? I would love a 100mm 1.8, a 150mm 2.8 or similar for a few hundred dollars each.
The manufacturers could advertise them as low-end lenses. You’re not going to get the most perfect flare reduction or VR on such a lens which is fine.
I used a film Pentax over a decade ago and all I have are simple telephoto lenses and maybe one zoom. They’re light and easy to use and perfect for many situations.
